What do you think of when you see this image?
Warmth, cosiness, hot chocolate, mulled wine, a comfy arm chair, a nice book……? The fireplace embodies a sense of home, a primeval focal point, a sense of safety. It’s one of fundamental differences between being human and being an animal. Who remembers King Louis in Jungle book singing I wannabe like you
“Give me the power of Man’s red flower so I can be like you”
I get it.
What do you think of when you see this image?
Dirtiness, hassle, a mess, a waste of precious time... how much time is actually spent creating that perfect image and even creating warmth from the fire? And why is it we feel the heat so much? Is it because the rest of the building is freezing cold a draughty. Fires were vital in the cave-man era, they were all we had. But things have moved on since then...
So what if you can have it all?
What do you think of when you see this image?
What if your home took care of itself? What if enjoying the romance and primeval sense of well-being you get with a fire was a choice not a necessity? Your fire is in an outside room, and the house inside is toasty and warm....all by itself!!
Of course you can have an inside fire too - but you are not reliant on it to keep warm, it's more about ambience if you decide that's what you want...
